Sangjae Lee recently moved from Korea to Chicago and founded Loodipia, Inc. to develop international business opportunities. His aspiration is to help businesses connect with international customers (especially customers in Asia) more efficiently and also help customers have better access to and better curation about high-quality global brands and great deals.
Before moving to Chicago, he was general manager at NHN Corporation (#1 search portal in Korea) where he managed local and site search team. Before NHN, Sangjae was a business development director for a start-up that tried in vain to create ebay in video market space with user generated contents. Sangjae also worked at Citibank as product manager for credit card products and he was employee No. 11 at Yahoo! Korea where he worked for 5 years helping the firm grow substantially to become one of the top internet companies in Korea. He started his career at Samsung Corporation where he was able to find his career goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur in international business.
He has a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a bachelor of science degree (electronic engineering major) from Yonsei University.
Sangjae loves travelling, reading business books, going to hip places, and spending time with his wife. His current interests lie in social commerce, social media, information filtering, curation, and fashion.
